Driving Application Growth
AT&T launched devCentral to empower developers the tools they need to build, test, onboard and certifies applications across a range of devices, OSes and platforms. To generate awareness for devCentral portal, AT&T brought its program to the Java One Conference, one of the industry’s largest events for developers and provided a great opportunity to reach a large audience of developers. AT&T wanted to generate awareness for devCentral while driving developer membership growth and building relationships with potential partners.
Building Awareness Through Demonstrations
Wireless Nvision led AT&T’s exhibitor’s objectives at Java One Conference including building brand awareness around devCentral, sharing best practices through demonstrations, initiating relationships with target partners and ultimately driving membership growth for devCentral.
Wireless Nvision managed the strategic planning and logistics of the exhibition, including identifying the key messaging, pre-show logistics and show services, exhibit layout and traffic patterns, attendee marketing initiatives and recruiting partners to participate and demonstrate applications running on AT&T’s network and devices.
To drive traffic to the booth, Wireless Nvision created promotional collateral, signage and developed cross-promotional offers/giveaways with other exhibiting partners. Wireless Nvision also secured 12 partner speakers to present and demonstrate applications at the booth throughout the conference.
Membership Growth That Counts
AT&T’s exhibit had a steady flow of traffic during the three-day long conference. Nearly 1,000 people registered and joined the devCentral program. In addition, AT&T representatives were able to strengthen relationships with partner companies including IBM, VeriSign, MobiTV, Tele Atlas, Research in Motion, and ESRI.
